Preventative care is by far the simplest, but most important, aspect of your horse’s veterinary care to optimize overall health and longevity.

• Vaccinations are crucial for preventing many devastating fatal diseases. Even backyard horses can potentially be exposed to diseases transmitted by mosquitos and wildlife and it is highly recommended that all horses remain current on their core vaccines.
• We offer fecal egg count tests and can assist in developing a deworming protocol tailored to your individual horses and management.
• Healthy horse and geriatric horse examinations can identify subtle health concerns before they become a serious issue. Diet and nutrition questions can also be addressed as needed.
• An annual Coggins blood test is required for any horse at a boarding facility or being transported off private property.  We also can issue health certificates for clients shipping horses out of state.
